Thomas Levey 1817 - 1896

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me THOMAS LEVEY of Stansted Mountfitchet in the County of Essex, builder. I appoint Allen Levey of Bishops Stortford in the County of Hertford, builder, executor and trustee of this my will and I give to him the sum of twenty five pounds for his trouble in acting as my executor and trustee. I devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate unto my trustee Upon trust that my trustee shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease sell call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the moneys produced by such sale calling in and conversion and with and out of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacy bequeathed by this my will and shall stand possessed of the residue thereof Upon trust to pay and divide the same unto and equally between all my children namely Thomas Levey Eliza Levey George Levey Marian Hardcastle Frances Adams Arthur Levey and Jane Drage I revoke all former wills and declare this to be my last and only will and testament IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fourteenth day of June 1895 - THOMAS LEVEY - Signed by the said Thomas Levey the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present together at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses - C V Thorneycroft solicitor Bishops Stortford Charles J Rattey his clerk

Probate Record:
BE IT KNOWN, that at the date hereunder written, the last Will and Testament of Thomas Levey of Stansted Mountfitchet in the County of Essex, Builder deceased, who died on the 5th day of November 1896 at Stansted Mountfitchet aforesaid was proved and registered in the Principal Probate Registry of Her Majesty's High Court of Justice, and that administration of the personal estate of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Allen Levey of Bishops Stortford in the County of Hertford Builder the Sole Executor named in the Will he having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same. Dated the 3rd day of February 1897.
